footage of intense exchanges held in the wake of the Fukushima nuclear accident

Tokyo Electric Power Company has decided to disclose more footage of intense exchanges held in the wake of the Fukushima nuclear accident. The operator of the crippled nuclear power plant released footage last month of teleconferences between its Tokyo head office and the plant during 5 days from March 11th last year. But it has since come under heavy criticism for limiting the disclosure to 150 hours covering the first 5 days and banning media outlets from making copies of the footage.TEPCO now says it will release more video covering a one-month period through April 11th.During this time, trouble in securing water to cool spent-fuel pools reignited fears of possible massive nuclear fallout. An unannounced release of low-level radioactive water into the ocean also drew criticism from Japan's neighbors.Despite calls for full disclosure, TEPCO plans to partially edit the footage as it did before, citing the need to protect employees' privacy.
